a cooler not a fridge
was told a story about after graduating from college with heavy student loans, my friend used a cooler as his refrigerator till being able to purchase a down on a real refrigerator. the best thing about the cooler was that it had installed on the side handle a bottle opener. perfect comes in many forms.

stress needs stretch
what i am learning is that to help combat my extreme stress is to stretch as part of my daily physical activities. stress bottles up the body constricting various muscles in the body - thus a tension (or stress) headache, neck ache etc. i personally have experienced my back being hunched over from my stress. this has caused numerous symptoms including upper back pain, difficulty breathing, bad posture, headaches and more.
having an arched back is also a sign of lack of confidence. i am consciously aware of this fact and attempt to correct my posture by stretching, sitting on firm surfaces, keeping both my feet on the ground and exercising. stress is extremely damaging to the body and emotional well being. take the time to stretch.

Future of Commerce And Color of Money
moving towards on all card, online banking and commerce transactions both physical, mobile and online.
the color (green) of money will become less recognizable. The dollar sign/image will become more prominent.
will card/debit card companies lean toward a common color (green, deep blue...)?

allow your higher power to come to you
As simple as it may sound, many do not allow for this to take place. Instead of allowing, people ignore and act like they are deaf. Just allow and listen.

Always them. When I'm down in thought and struggling with keeping my positive mind set going. I have to calm myself down and then, I have the ability to think clearly. I am able to realize my true motivations in life. Wife and kids P, D, & K.

life below zero
The reality show "life below zero" documents the arduous life several individuals endure to leave off the grid in Alaska. Intriguing at times, nerve racking and general a highly engaging show. At times the show does leave me with the feeling that somehow I am being looked down on because I don't live this rugged lifestyle. The reality of the situation, is that I have chosen a suburban life over a life living in a rural location whereby modern conveniences are readily available. At times it's arduous and a fight for survival. Don't miss understand me, I have complete respect for how the life below zero cast endure and succeed. I admire how thee approach situations and constantly develop innovate solutions. This reminds me to dig deep when solving problems and to have a calm mind to allow for maximum thought to take place.

Super Human Energy
Yes, we all wish we possessed this at times. But sustaining it is dangerous. Balance, balance balance. Trying my hardest to find the balance, professional, family, personal, friends, health, diet, exercise and spirituality. The motivator is doing it. The joy is the journey. There is no ending in balance, just knowing that the effort is made.

You Have Choices
I can definitely feel the pain of feeling like you have no choices. But dig deep, they are there. It takes courage though to explore potential humbling options. This process cuts away the layers of the problem solving and creative process. Believe me, you have to be creative.

We Laughed During
Revelations were flying, ideas were being formulated all the while we share some laughter. Tonight is one of the most stressful, I am sure we will ever encounter but because of our deep connection and love, we actually laughed. The power of laughter should never be underestimated.

Reach Out Side Of Your Comfort Zone
I have wanted but did not. I have known but did not. I married somebody that is completely opposite of me in that aspect. I looked up to a childhood friend that was this way. It's time for me to live outside my comfort zone.
Don't get me wrong, there have been and still are times, when I live this way. Past times have included when I played in bands, when I was a staff trainer, when worked on a team that had the same goals and in individual athletic endeavors. In my professional life I have achieved goals when I reached outside my comfort zone.
What I (at least for me) have learned is that to feel complete requires continued growth through challenging myself. Doing this has increased my comfort zone which results in growing my confidence.
Now challenge yourself.

Believe In Us
You must stay strong through the turmoil and life's challenges. Believing in us takes believing in yourself. But also believing in others. The united Us is always more powerful than just you. My wife is a believer in us. She is undeniably strong and has used this from an early age. She had to. We believe in the us as a family. Support for each other and the belief that one has the ability to take the steps to face the challenge. I see this in my family from the youngest to my oldest. As this phase of deep introspection continues, I am able to look deeper into my children's challenges and respect what they conquer. From big boy having total ACL reconstruction to the brilliance of my middle child to the struggles of my princess P. This introspection is attributed to my wife bringing in to my attention. I am finding great joy in being able to witness and participate as an us with each family member.
Believe in Use.

A Party Then A Dance
Youngest princess P had her first school dance this evening which was themed a "Sock Hop". We are a family that goes all out with such a creative wife and beyond enthusiastic kids. Creative wifey created a fun, 50's influenced skirt for miss P. The D man got his slick groove on with hair, rolled t-shirt and jeans completing the look.
We all enjoyed a pre-party with friends then ventured to the dance. Most kids were dressed up in themed attire and the music was at a loud level. A majority of the kids and some adults were dancing while most the parents were packed around the perimeter of the gym slash half gym cafeteria room. As the volume of the room raised along with a badly thought out idea, turning off the lights and using a strobe light. This combination of music volume with strobe lighting proved the final straw for the D man.
Oh well, one must enjoy the different aspects of events from the pre-event prep to the actual event itself, find your moment and enjoy.

She's My Rock
My wife is my rock. Not the typical rock you would imagine. She a unique rock the kind you can rest on, use to elevate, admire its breathy and stands out from the rest.
My rock is there at all times even when I don't see it. I love my rock.
