1st Soccer Game

D's first ever soccer game is tomorrow. He received his jersey tonight and he's over the moon excited. For a kid that smiles all the time the twinkle in his eye is shining even brighter.

Mommy made P a special shirt with D's number. A special gift from mommy that is shared by both.

I have processed the event in my mind and feel prepared to fully take in the moment and rejoice in the special seconds that will leave lasting  impressions in a young boy.

Soccer Time for D Man

So excited and nervous for D-Man to play on his first official Soccer team. His focus of course is completely different than mine - what color and name the team will be. Sometimes we need to let our expectations be tempered with our child's. As I have now realized this, the time spent watching and assisting him has been focused on his success not mine.
